Frequently asked questions
How much do you charge?
It depends on what forms are required to complete your taxes. Some returns require one form (i.e. a single person with one W-2) whereas some require multiple forms (i.e. a married couple with two kids). Business returns also depend on the forms used.
How far back do I need to keep tax records?
Typically, three to four years is recommended. If you need a copy of an older return, you can request it from the IRS using Form 4506, Request for Copy or Transcript of Tax Form
What can I write off?
If you own a small business, you can write off anything ordinary and necessary to do your job.
W-2 employees cannot write off any work-related expenses with our current tax laws.
What do I do if I get a letter from the IRS?
Do not panic. Make an appointment, and we’ll go over the letter together to determine what is needed to satisfy their request.
